#aSharedPassion ♥

From 25 to 29 June 2023, journalists from Poland visited vineyards and wineries in Portugal to learn first-hand about the painstaking work of the Portuguese wine sector, during a trip organised by the Interprofessional Association of the Portuguese (Viniportugal) in collaboration with the Interprofesional del Vino de España (OIVE). On this interesting route, the group of opinion leaders got to know several wine regions in Portugal, within the framework of the A Shared Passion programme.

This first action opens the calendar of trips scheduled within the aforementioned project that both interprofessionals have been developing for three years in order to promote the shared passion for wine in Spain and Portugal. They have travelled to Porto, Aveleda, Armamar, Pinhao, Arraiolos, Evora and Beja.

The journalists have also visited several estates with vineyards of great tradition in wine production and with all the values of sustainability and biodiversity of the environment. Large vineyards with activity in the five regions recognised in the Portuguese wine sector: Douro, Vinho Verde, Bairrada, Algarve and Lisbon.

All the production visited by these professionals adheres to the Integrated Production System, in accordance with the most rigorous EU environmental production laws.

The 3-year A Shared Passion programme will have a budget of just over 2 million euros, 80% of which will come from European funds earmarked for the international promotion of EU agri-food products.
