The ‘EDUCATIONAL CORNERS’ bring Spanish and Portuguese Wine Culture Closer to European Tourists in PORTO, MÁLAGA, SEVILLE, AND ALICANTE

#aSharedPassion ♥

Travelers who visited the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Málaga or the airports of Porto, Seville, and Alicante-Elche during August, September, and October were greeted with a pleasant surprise at these key points in four major tourist cities: the ‘Educational Corners’ launched by the “Organización Interprofessional del Vino de España” (OIVE) and Viniportugal as part of the European campaign ‘A Shared Passion.’ The initiative aims to enhance awareness of this product, which is deeply intertwined with Iberian and European culture.

Designed to convey a sense of exclusivity, these ‘wine corners’ provide visitors with information about the quality and variety of wines that set them apart, as well as details about the different Denominations of Origin and PGIs found in Spain and Portugal.

They also serve as privileged spots to answer visitors’ questions, offer promotional products, and encourage responsible consumption to experience a lesser-known aspect of these countries. Additionally, at Porto Airport and the Carmen Thyssen Museum, visitors were treated to a small tasting.

This initiative began on August 22 at Porto-Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport and lasted until September 11. In Málaga, it took place from September 16 to 29, followed by Seville Airport (October 1-14), and concluded at Alicante-Elche Airport (October 15-24).

In previous editions of this initiative with informational points, approximately 3,400,000 engagements were achieved, reaching 7,600 European consumers.
