SPANISH AND PORTUGUESE Wines Shine at the XANTAR FAIR

Each autumn, “Salón Internacional de Turismo Gastronómico, Xantar”, brings together professionals, opinion leaders, and European media from the hospitality and travel sectors in Ourense. In 2024, the stars of the fair were the wines of Spain and Portugal.

From October 24 to 27, the A Shared Passion campaign, driven by OIVE and ViniPortugal, featured its own stand at the event and organized eight tastings to introduce industry professionals to the diversity of European wines produced in these two countries.

A total of 192 attendees participated in these activities, experiencing firsthand the exceptional quality of wines from some of Spain’s 102 Denominations of Origin and Portugal’s 14 wine regions. These attributes highlight the wines as a key asset in the thriving Iberian gastronomic tourism sector.

All these initiatives are part of the European A Shared Passion program, which unites Spanish and Portuguese organizations to promote European wines.
