OIVE reveals to EUROPEAN PROFESSIONALS the richness and diversity of SPANISH ORGANIC WINES through two ‘tasting trips’
#aSharedPassion ♥
Spanish organic wines are gaining an increasingly important place in the most prestigious international markets, thanks to their quality, variety and gastronomic versatility. And, in order to further this internationalisation, within the framework of the A Shared Passion campaign, the “Organización Interprofesional del Vino de España” (OIVE) has organised two workshops focused on them and aimed at European professionals, within the Organic Food Iberia fair, held on June 04th and 05th.
Held with great public success in the Wine Tasting Gallery of the event, under the title ‘A tour of organic wine in Spain’, they were real sensory journeys in the form of tastings. The aim? To show all the potential that Spain has in this segment of the wine sector, through 10 magnificent representatives from eight different designations of origin.
In the first workshop, on 4 June, the protagonists were Alta Alella Mirgin Brut Nature Guarda Superior (DO Cava), Cuatro Rayas Organic Verdejo (DO Rueda), Luzón Colección Monastrell 2023 (DO Jumilla), Lan Xtreme Ecológico 2019 (DO Rioja) and Piedra Luenga Pedro Ximénez (DO Montilla-Moriles).
In the second, held on 5 June the wines were: Vilarnau Brut Reserva Orgánico (D.O. Cava), Jean Leon Xarel-lo 2023 (D.O. Penedès), Casa Los Frailes Bilogia (D.O. Valencia), Pago Florentino Eco 2020 (D.O. Vino de Pago) and once again Piedra Luenga Pedro Ximénez.
The Swedish wine exporter and educator Anna Granqvist and the chef, taster and gastronomic advisor Arturo Garre were in charge of presenting them and communicating their excellence, acting as luxury ‘guides’ in these wine tours.
