OIVE closes the “Lifestyle, Diet, Wine and Health” CONFERENCE with a TASTING of SPANISH WINES

More than 30 international scientists had the opportunity to learn more about the variety and quality of Spanish wines at a masterclass offered by the Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organization (OIVE) as part of the Lifestyle, Diet, Wine and Health conference, which was held on October 19 and 20 in Toledo.

The session was led by Arturo Garre, a sommelier from the Spanish Union of Wine Tasters, who proposed a tour of some of the Spanish Protected Designations of Origin such as Rioja, Conca de Barberà, Cariñena, La Mancha, Rías Baixas, Rueda, Yecla, Navarra, Cava, and Montilla Moriles. The tasting highlighted the wide range of styles, grape varieties, and personalities of Spanish wines.

This activity was part of the European program #ASharedPassion, which is being implemented by the Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organization (OIVE) and the Portuguese Wine Interprofessional Organization. Together, they aim to reinforce the image of wine as a product of excellence that has a longstanding tradition in Europe, while always promoting a message of responsible consumption in moderation.
