GERMAN WINE Press Applauds PORTUGUESE WINES

Five renowned German wine journalists had the opportunity to experience firsthand the quality and diversity of Portuguese wine production, thanks to a trip organized by ViniPortugal as part of the European campaign A Shared Passion.

From October 27 to 31, the group visited five of Portugal’s 14 wine regions. Starting in Lisbon, the journey covered Tejo, Alentejo, Dão, Porto e Douro, and Vinhos Verdes, concluding in Porto. Seven wineries hosted the journalists, while they also tasted wines from five other invited producers.

This experience allowed the professionals to share the many virtues of Portuguese wines with their readers, listeners, and followers. The group included journalists from various backgrounds, including wine and gastronomy magazines, travel and wine tourism websites, as well as those focused on radio and television.

This “study trip” is part of a packed schedule of visits for specialized journalists and other wine professionals to Iberian wine regions, launched under the European A Shared Passion program, which unites the Spanish and Portuguese sectors to promote European wines.
