Wine has been part of European culture<\/strong> and gastronomy<\/strong> for centuries, and it has always been closely linked to the different European territories. Additionally, the winemaking sector in Spain and Portugal has been, and will continue to be, the economic driver<\/strong> of many rural areas<\/strong>, planting a future and preventing their depopulation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These are all factors that highlight the importance of the link between the wines from Spain and Portugal<\/strong> and the land. This is also reinforced by European Union regulations<\/strong>, which ensure the quality of production and offer quality labels based on a strict system of Geographical Indications and Protected Designations of Origin.<\/p>\n
